Position | Description:

Community Health Worker (CHW) Skills Coach (Part Time) | Performs all duties necessary to coordinate CHW upskilling elements in line with the HRSA-CHWTP grant including but not limited to assisting new graduates with the acquisition of  their CHW credential; sourcing training opportunities, locally and nationally; technical advising to CHWs around furthering professional development post certification; providing indirect support to employers of participating CHWs; serving as a contact with the St Louis Community College on behalf of the St Louis Community Health Worker Coalition; maintaining appropriate data collection metrics for grant deliverables; as well as representing the CHW Coalition and maintaining relationships with external agencies related to the Community Health Worker program and training opportunities.

Position | Description:

Community Health Worker (Orthopedic Surgery) |  This individual will be located in Washington University's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, however, the day-to-day work will center on improving access to Long COVID care across all Washington University departments and the broader St. Louis/Midwest region. This position is ideal for a CHW that  is comfortable helping patients with both Missouri and IL Medicaid, excited to learn, has previous job experience and  is eagerly adaptable to on-the-job training.  Check out the full job description here!

Position | Description:

Community Health Worker | This individual will serve a valuable role within the Division of Gynecologic Oncology by assisting patients with their unmet social needs in order to prioritize their cancer care. Our mission is to deliver exceptional clinical service to prevent and treat gynecologic cancers with equity, thereby improving lives through research, advocacy, and education. The community health worker will work directly with underserved individuals and their families, engaging in community outreach, providing navigation around the hospital and Siteman Cancer Center, and lending support to patients as they learn about clinical trials. Time will be split between two outpatient clinics within the Center for Outpatient Health-- one that focuses on cervical cancer prevention, and the other that serves individuals who are at risk or have a gynecologic cancer. Check out the full job description here!

Community Organizers (multiple positions open) | Join us in building a grassroots movement of parent leaders working for economic, racial and social justice for families. Community Organizing and Family Issues (COFI) builds the leadership, power and voice of low-income parents to fight for equity on behalf of their children and families. COFI is hiring for multiple positions, and we are looking for organizers with a range of experience from entry-level positions to Lead Organizer roles. At COFI, Community Organizers work with COFI-trained Black and Brown parents (mostly mothers and grandmothers) across Illinois on leadership development, local organizing campaigns and larger public policy initiatives to policy and systems more responsive to the needs of all families. Positions are based in Chicago, the suburbs and the Metro East Illinois area (seeking bilingual applicant in southern IL).
